Q. Kulwant, Can You Please introduce yourself to our readers?
First of all, Thanks CyberOaks for Inviting me.
Hey, Lovely people out there. This is Kulwant Nagi. I am a 31 years old Full-Time Blogger, Youtuber and Affiliate Marketer and Founder of bloggingcage.com and Youtube Channel with sound subscribers base.
Apart from this, I am also running some micro-niche blogs in different niches and also have a Facebook Group “ Blogging cage VIP” and Telegram channel and a group with more than 27K+ members.
Q. You have recently launched your affiliate marketing course. Will you tell us something about it?
Kulwant: Yes, I have taken initiative to prepare the bread of new entrepreneurs in India and the world through this training program. Its initial cost was $300 but now I am offering it on a 50% discount and it is currently costing around $135 for a limited period.
Q. How can students sign up for your Affiliate Marketing course?
Kulwant: They can simply mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org or message me on Facebook.
Q. When did you start blogging and why?
Kulwant: I started blogging in 2011.
Why? Because After my schooling, I don’t have any idea what to do next. Then I tried to go for education to USA but because of the lake of funds, it didn’t work. Then I went to Delhi to do a job and soon came to know that I was not made for a job.
Till then, I was not aware of my interest and passion. But at that time, I loved to spend time on computers and laptops.
After some time, from one of my friends, I got to know about earning money online by using AdSense. Then I searched for it a lot.
And then I decided to start a blog and youtube channel to earn money online. It was in 2011.
That time I created a blog and youtube Channel but because of inconsistency and lack of knowledge. It was a failure. After that, I have created some websites and blogs with copy paste work, that also didn’t work for me.
Then I decided to learn more about blogging and YouTubing. And after learning the basics from Youtube and Google.
my second year of college launched my blog blogging cage and Youtube channel in 2011, and the rest of all is in front of you guys.
Q. Why did you create your blog BloggingCage?
Kulwant: Let’s be honest here. The primary motive of starting a BloggingCage is to make money online. It is as simple as that.
But I know that if I can’t help others, I will not earn a single penny. It’s all about giving and take. If you provide values to others, then for sure you will get what you want. Whether it is money, whether it is fame, whether it is freedom or something else.
That’s why I started my blog blogging cage to earn money online by helping others and I got success in this.
Through my Youtube Channel and blog, I helped many people to start their online earning. I am receiving many emails these days where people share their earning proofs and journeys.
And that feeling is really great when you get an appreciation for the work you did.
Q. What do you think about blogging in 2020?
Kulwant: Blogging in 2020 is super profitable and super competitive too. If we talk about blogging in 2010, that time, the competition was low and very few people are doing this.
And they are doing blogging as a hobby, and no proper guidance was there at that time.
But in 2020, blogging is a career option. I have seen many people quit their jobs and work as a full-time blogger. Even I am one of them.
So, blogging in 2020 is business. You can live your dream life with blogging. All you need is proper guidance about blogging.
Q. What were the challenges you faced at the initial stage of your blogging journey?
Kulwant: Like every newbie, I also faced the traffic generation problem and, most importantly, no proper guidance about blogging.
Even these days many people, mostly on youtube are misguiding newbies and beginners by showing earning proofs and, telling them some quick and short ways to get success in blogging.
The harsh truth is “Blogging is not a quick-rich scheme” It takes time and hard work. So it’s very important to follow the right people who can guide you in the right way.
My suggestion to all the newbies is to leverage social media for initial traffic and, most importantly, follow the right mentor into your niche who can guide you the best.
And one more tip I want to give is; don’t trust anybody blindly. After watching any video or reading articles, Do your own research and then start work on anything.
Q. How many blogs are you running?
Kulwant: Currently, I am running 30+ blogs in different niches Including bloggingcage.com. Some of them are micro-niche blogs that are monetized by Adsense and, on other blogs, I am doing affiliate marketing.
Note:- Not all of them are making money for me. Some are experimental blogs.
Q. There are a lot of people who still use BlogSpot for blogging, what would you say about this?
Kulwant: I think using Blogger with a custom domain is good If you have some sort of budget. But I don’t recommend using Blogger with a BlogSpot domain. If you can’t afford good hosting then, at least invest in a custom domain and connect it with blogger.
But If you can afford then you must go for WordPress because after starting a blog on blogger your final destination is WordPress.
I have started my blog BloggingCage with blogger but after some time I shifted to WordPress. Blogger is very limited and with WordPress, you have full access to your blog. You can do whatever you want with your blog.
Q. Can you give some tips to our readers regarding AdSense approval as you are an expert in it?
Kulwant: I am not an expert in Google Adsense but yes, I have good experience with Google Adsense approval.
According to my experience with Adsense, the main thing for approval is your blog content and fully designed website.
If your content is 100% genuine and you have designed your blog completely with proper navigation then, you will get approval for sure.
Here are the things you need to keep in mind before applying for approval:-
- 100% Real and genuine content.
- Make sure to follow all the AdSense policies.
Q. Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?
Kulwant: I may be retired by then but retirement does not mean putting your work to an end. It means working only on things that give you pleasure and fit your interest.
Q. Your Advice for youngsters following your footprints?
Kulwant: Focus, Go Deep in whatever you do and give your 100%. Secondly and most importantly, just concentrate on one thing at one time.
As I said earlier, blogging is not a quick-rich scheme. The most important tip I can give to all the newbies out there is, have patience and work hard for your blog. Don’t expect quick results.
It will take time and, there is no fixed time for the results. It totally depends on your work and way of doing it.
And one more thing, start blogging with the one niche, in which you are interested. Don’t follow the crowd blindly.
Q. Who was your inspiration when you think of starting a blog?
Kulwant: For blogging, In my initial stage I inspired by Harsh Agarwal, Brian Dean, Neil Patel, and some other blogs.
And for Youtube, I was inspired by My Smart Support youtube channel.
Q. Have you ever made any big mistakes in blogging? If yes can you explain in a few words?
Kulwant: Yes, I have also made many mistakes in my initial days. I think everybody made some mistakes. And from those mistakes, they learn gradually.
Here are some mistakes that I did in my initial days of blogging:-
- Looking for quick schemes for making money.
- I copied other blog content and published it on my blog.
- Followed the crowd.
- Not focusing on one niche. Created multiple blogs at a time.
Q. Is blogging becoming competitive?
Kulwant: Yes, Blogging is competitive in 2020. But super-profitable also if you do it in the right direction. 2020 is the best time to start your blog.
What all you need is a good mentor who can guide you.
Q. Can you recommend hosting and themes to our readers?
Kulwant: Yeah, Sure.
For cheap hosting, You can check out Namecheap hosting.
And for Themes, I recommend the GeneratePress Premium theme because I am using it on most of my blog. You can also try Astra Pro.
Q. Last but not least. How much do you make from blogging? Any rough idea to motivate new bloggers?
Kulwant: I have earned more than $500k from just affiliate marketing, I don’t earn from AdSense as my account was disabled and I also feel you need a lot of traffic to earn from AdSense but you can easily make high money using affiliate marketing.
Q. Congratulations on becoming a father. What are your feelings now?
Kulwant: Thankyou! Well, this is something that cannot be expressed in words. I started as a blogger then turned into an affiliate marketer and now became a father. But now I am feeling that I am a father first then affiliate marketer and then bogger so things went reversely after this wonderful present from almightly.
PRO TIPS:– No matter how much traffic your blog is getting. Adsense gives approval on zero traffic blog. But according to my experience if your blog has good traffic then you will get approval fast with little plag content. 🙂
